Jeremiah 31:2-4

The people who survived the sword
found favor in the wilderness.^(A)
When Israel went to find rest,^(B)
3 the Lord appeared to him^[a] from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;^(C)
therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.^(D)
4 Again I will build you so that you will be rebuilt,
Virgin Israel.^(E)
You will take up your tambourines again^(F)
and go out in joyful dancing.
